Wild Man Don...and to think - he lead us on the Mellow Mushroom ride... :-)

Officer's Corner

ChaplainMarch 2010 ~~~ I don’t know about you but I have had enough of the cold weather.  I am looking forward to seeing spring once again.  I haven’t been real concerned about global warming lately, if you know what I mean.

I know living in the south we got spoiled by being able to ride all year round, although this winter has been harsher than in the past few years, I have still been able to ride.

It’s like anything that you have your heart set on, if there’s a will there’s a way.  Sometimes I have on so many clothes that I can hardly turn to see left or right at intersections.  We have to adapt to the weather conditions in order to fulfill our passion of riding.

As Christians, we have to adapt to a lot of worldly things in order to be good soldiers for Christ.  Not to say we should compromise and give in to sinful ways but to equip and prepare for spiritual conditions that may occur.  Psalm 46:1  God is our refuge and strength.
Be a blessing,

Jackie D, Chaplain

Local Weather

Wind Chill:

A measure of the cooling effect of wind on PEOPLE. Wind increases the body heat loss rate, so the wind makes you feel cooler than the temperature indicated by a thermometer. This heat loss can be calculated by using wind speed and temperature to provide a wind chill equivalent temperature (or wind chill factor). Remember to use your expected riding speed.

Wind Speed (MPH) =
Air Temperature (ºF) =
